I have been having fun (and wasting heaps of time) trying to make a Montage. Here is one of my efforts. Quite pleased with the way it has turned out

Slacko!!
Wow - it is so long since I posted - really slack!
Been very busy for the last couple of months with Pukeko Paddock Workshops and SENZ 2009. SENZ was in Auckland this year - I taught four classes, attended a class by Nic Howard and one with Jill Geraghty Jones.

HOLIDAY WOES
On 30th January we took two of our grandchildren- Raquel and Dominic - camping at El Rancho in Waikanae. Great place to take kids with plenty to do! Stan was playing tennis with Raquel and all of a sudden got 'dumped' on the tennis court. He thought someone had hit him in the leg. Unfortunately we were to find out a few days later, when we visited the doctor & subsequently the hospital; that he had ruptured his Achilles Tendon. He is to be in different plasters for two months, then all going well, a built up shoe for another month. Luckily he is in no pain. Normally we would have just taken this injury in our stride (no pun intended), but the very next day we were going on two months holiday! That is now cancelled - Stan hasn't been allowed his foot on the ground (at all!) for two weeks. He had his cast changed last Monday - he now has a blue fibreglass cast on with a rubber bit on the bottom. He can walk albeit very 'lop sided'! We are so disappointed about our holiday.

SENZ 2008
SENZ has been and gone - I taught 96 people over 4 days and it was all good fun. Was able to take in a couple of Nic Howard's classes and really enjoyed them - it's not often I get to go to someone else's classes! Getting ready for the last Pukeko Paddock workshop of the year on the 15th November - a big Christmas party really!

Wow - Christmas is Here
We have had a lovely day with our grandchildren today. Every year before Christmas they look forward to our trip our late night shopping, dinner, seeing Santa and then driving to see the Christmas Lights. We visited Hathaway Ave tonight and it is just the most magical display of lights and 'working' Christmas ornaments we have ever seen. Peering through the windows of the house is like looking into 'wonderland'. It takes the lady and her team of Water Polo volunteers a couple of months to set it all up!! It truly makes you feel that Christmas is magical and just around the corner. Here is a pic from tonight and there are some more in the slideshow.

Digi Layout - Hula Bunny Fairies
These pics make me laugh. Amber and Conna got dressed up to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness at their College. They did a bit of 'hamming it up' for the camera first. The papers are by Angela Barton and the template by Carole Neale from her 'Four in a Flash' kit.

Digi Page - You can't Say it Any More
This page was inspired by the fact that my grandaughters keep telling me they have hardly any photos of me.... that's because I am always the one on the end of the camera - I'm not silly! Anyway they 'can't say it any more!' The papers are all designed by Rhonna Farrer and are from 2Peas. The modified Template is Carole Neale's '4 in a Flash.

Faye's Challenge @scrapbookingbyDesign
This is my third challenge this week! Am enjoying it too. This one is Faye's challenge. The requirements were to mix up the size of your photos and to include a star in the layout. Hope mine fits the bill! I do love Rhonna Farrer's "Deck the Halls" Paper

Louise's Challenge @ Scrapbooking by Design
This is my entry in Louise's Challenge - a layout with a title or line from a Christmas Song. I couldn't miss this opportunity to show Dominic's toothless grin!! Everyone kept singing that song to him last year and he got really sick of it in the end - who can blame him!! Here is the layout

Christmas Cybercrop @ Scrapbooking by Design
I had a fun night at my first ever cybercrop. It was held by Scrapbooking by Design in Auckland (they are also Scrapbook Studio). I have entered a couple of the challenges and have just found out today that I won Lianne's Challenge - a layout with "Non Traditional Christmas Colours" and you weren't allowed to put red and green together. I am so stoked! Not sure what I have won yet. Here is my digital layout

Since the Challenge
I hadn't really decided to keep up this blog now that I have finished the challenge, but today decided I would.
Been very busy the last few weeks with my son coming home for a surprise visit from the UK with his partner Rachel. It was really great but they were here for such a short time!
My last Pukeko Paddock Workshop for the year was held last Saturday at the Petone Working Mens Club. It was great fun with 29 people attending. We made some lovely cards, had a 3 course lunch and had a bit of hilarity playing some christmas themed games.
Going by the phone calls, everyone seemed to have a good time, so that was great.
Talk again soon

21 Day Challenge - DAY 21
What a wonderful experience. Thank you so much to Rhonna Farrer for making this challenge possible. I have learnt heaps over the last 21 days and plan to put my new skills to plenty of use. It has been an inspiring and provoking trip. Well done to all the participants - I have seen some great work and good luck with keeping yourselves 'challenged'.
Congratulations to whoever wins Rhonna's very generous box of goodies - I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Thanks again Rhonna

The 21 Day Challenge Challenges you!!
I have to say that Rhonna's 21 Day Challenge has been a great exercise so far - one of the best things I have got from it is the chance to play in the digital era! I have only dabbled a couple of times in this - and very simply. With this challenge I have learnt to play with many more layers and have more fun with the HEAPS of free downloaded kits and ones I have purchased from the net. I think when you are actually wanting to do a digital scrapbook page you are more reserved and want it to 'look right' whereas with doing this challenge it isn't so important that the page is perfect. So people - loosen up those elbows, get those fingers touching the keyboard and have a go at some digital pages! You will love it!
